Andred Merge Command Now Live

The first batch will be moved at 5:00 PM EDT today. The next wave will go on Monday at 10:00 AM EDT, and any remaining waves will happen at 10:00 AM each of the following mornings until we close the server. Please note that the queue will only hold 5000 characters, so we recommend typing the command as soon as possible. Read on for instructions! 1. Log into the Andred lobby (where the character list is, when you choose Andred from the server selection screen) to get the exact name of the character to be moved. Write it down. 2. Log into Mordred. 3. Create a level 1 character with the chosen *final* name that you wish to play on Mordred. (Really truly final - this is the name you're going to be stuck with.) Note that the character must be in the same realm as the character being moved from Andred. 4. Log into the Mordred server. DO NOT get exp, DO NOT get gold, DO NOT use the /level command. The move won't work if the placeholder has any of those things done to it. 5. Type /charpull Andred (Andred character name). You don't need to use the parentheses. For example, if I have a character named Bunny on Andred, and I want to move Bunny to Mordred and rename her Rabbit, I would create a level one character on Mordred named Rabbit, log in Rabbit, and as Rabbit, type /charpull Andred Bunny. 6. Log out. Do not log into either Andred or Mordred until you see your character has been copied - you can select the server from the list, and look on the character selection screen to see what level the "new" you is. I'll also post to the Herald to let everyone know when we've finished a batch. The copier doesn't work when you are on either server, so don't even take the chance :) The character will be deleted from Andred. The moved characters will arrive on Mordred with bank vaults, backpack contents, armor, weapons, crafting skills, realm points, bounty points, exp level, quest logs, unused respecs, and gold intact. Guild affiliations will be stripped, as well as incomplete tasks, your friends list, and your ignore list. If there are any problems with copying your character, please be sure that the problem wasn't simply that you logged in while we were moving characters. If that's the case, just retype the command (following the above directions). It's probably a good idea just to try the command again, rather than appealing. By problem, we mean "is there something wrong with the copied characted on Mordred" - so if something is wrong with the character itself, please send us an appeal. Our CS will investigate (it may take some time, we will need to pull logs), and restore from backup if the logs indicate we need to. Stay tuned to the Herald for other details.
