Some nights, I can't think of a clever title.

Q: Are you ever going to expand group slots from eight to a group to ten?

A: It has been discussed. It's hugely complex, as the size of the group is a basic building block in the design, and therefore impossible right now.

Most of you have been reading my wee website for some time now, and you know that "impossible" only means "not possible with our current resources and staff."

Q: Is there any way to find my CD key if I lost my CD?

A: No, but why would you need it? Once you've activated an account, the CD key can't be used again. You can still install the files on the discs onto any machine without the key.

Q: I use the Catacombs client, and I'm currently prepatching the New Town Art even though I got the patch back when it was optional. I understand why it has to happen this way, but I was wondering if you could tell me what files I may now safely delete and free up some hard drive space.

A: I'll just reprint the answer I put on one of my favorite site/boards, Catacombs.

Before you mess with that, have you tried deleting all the expansion folders you don't use? That would save you a lot more space.

Say you've got all the x-packs. Whenever you installed an expansion, you got a new desktop short cut.

Go to My Computer --> C: (or wherever you installed the game) --> Mythic. You should see a folder for each expansion installed on your computer.

Now look at the short cut on your desktop, the one you actually use to play the game. What expansion is it from? If it's from say, Catacombs, you can delete the SI and TOA folders. The reason is because every patch we've done since you installed Catacombs has put the files into your Catacombs folder, not the other two.

And that's why we phase out the oldest clients, because there's a version of the patch on the patcher for every client we support.

If you're one of those people who uses two clients, you need to be sure to delete only the folder for the shortcut you never use.

Q: When Warhammer comes out, will you be offering a package deal similar to something other companies (with multiple MMORPGs) do?

A: We're definitely talking about it, among other ideas. That's one of the cool things a company gets to do with more than one launched game. We just don't know yet, and probably won't until later this summer or even later.

Q: According to the Herald, Avoidance of Magic 'reduces all magic damage by the listed amount,' while in the game (at least on the Vampiir trainer) it says 'adds to the character's resistance to all times of magic.'  Resistances and damage reduction are two very different things, so only one of them can be right... which one is it?

A: I went to the Man of Class, the Big Wheel himself: "Avoidance of Magic reduces damage reduction only. It does not increase the chance to resist a spell outright."

Q: If you use a weapon with a proc on it, I heard that the effect fires in proportion to your dexterity, but is that true? As a light tank, I typically have no need for dex, but it's a different story if it affects the success rate of procs.

A: Dexterity has nothing to do with proc ratios. The Man of Class held the official answer, and he said: "The proc rate on weapons is assigned based on weapon speed, not Dexterity.  Generally, slower weapons have a higher chance to proc and faster weapons have a lower chance to proc."

I have gotten a lot of great feedback on the patch notes so far, and I thank you all for taking the trouble to send it. But please note - I have a MUCH easier time with feedback that comes from someone who took the trouble to try out the changes on Pendragon. ntellectual analysis is useful to a point, but is no substitute for running a few tests with your friends. We are running our own tests, and we can usually tell when someone is speaking from experience versus conjecture. (Also, I occasionally spot check using the account name you have to provide with your feedback form to see when your last activity on Pendragon was.)

Hey, I'm going to be in San Francisco next Saturday for the Roundtable Roadtrip. I'll be there with the Queen of Content, the Head Marketing Honcho, and the Queen of Quests. Gonna be a good time, as always. http://roundtable.darkageofcamelot.com/

I know it's short tonight; lots going on around here, as you may have seen from the first round of patch notes.  Stay tuned for the next episode…

Enjoy the weekend, everybody.
