***Brief History***

LotD was founded in 1995 and has played multiple MMORPG's over the years. The guild is a mixture of hardcore and casual gamers who like to have fun, and due to our rigid recruitment process we only retain quality players. The guild has a good track record in PVP, and I invite you to read our guild history.

We have decided to reopen a DAOC chapter after several years away, and are in the process of rebuilding the guild on the Gareth server as part of the Hibernian realm. We are looking for motivated people who want to be part of a medium sized guild (30-50 people), and who have good teamwork based skills.

***Recruitment Rundown***

Lords of the Dead is a highly competitive guild that focuses on RvR. If you want to make friends with a bunch of great people, and if you are a good player that wants to be a part of a guild that uses advanced tactics and teamwork to excel at RvR, then Lords of the Dead is the right guild for you.

While Lords of the Dead is highly focused on RvR, we also accept that members don't want to RvR a majority of their time. These members can contribute to the guild by leading quests, organizing events, helping out with leveling and character development, and participating in a host of other non PVP related activities.

We require that our members be fairly active. You can be away for vacation, etc. without anyone being upset with you but we are looking for people who, while not away for vacation or other events, play a total of 10 or more hours/week so that you can be an active part of our guild events. Attendance to all events is not required, but we usually schedule RvR, PVE, or other events every week where having a good turnout is important.

Lords of the Dead uses Ventrillo to talk to one another while we play.

We give most people a fair chance to prove that they belong in the guild, and that they can prove that they can contribute to the guild. Successful applicants will be dedicated, fun-loving, and willing to apply on our forums and to set up Ventrillo, etc.

The Last Stance from Hibernia/Merlin is currently recruiting 3-4 serious players for an 8 man group.  We are a brand new guild and we are working hard to get this group running.  We are accepting all different classes so that we can get the ideal lineup.

We are willing to help get the appropriate items and artifacts for the right people to finish their toons.

Due to some real life issues we have had a few members of our guild either leave the game or move on. We now have room in Infinity for more hearty souls.

We are a family oriented group, and we do have a few of us who have our significant others, and children who play with us so we try to keep the Language to PG-13, and we work with each other to get what we need. We are in the alliance called Forever Underpowered so we do a lot of RvR, but that does not mean that we do not take the time to PL others who need the leveling. We also have our own Vent channel so that we can actually talk with each other.

   I would like to congratulate all the members of Blades of Purgatory for lasting coming up on five years. The guild has prided itself on unity and family values.
   The guild, as most other guilds, has had to suffer through bad times as well as good times. Shortly after formation, the membership went from 40 down to 10. The resilience of the remaining 10 members demonstrated what it takes to be a guild. Within a year, the membership was one of the largest guilds on Igraine with a membership of over 200. The Blades of Purgatory are respected for having members who are trustworthy and give freely for the defense of Hibernia.
  When the Classic servers were formed the Blades moved to a new home on Lamorak. Our guild has strived to keep the same fundamentals of unity and family values which we maintained on Igraine. Once again, the Blades have one of the largest guilds on the new server due to the beliefs which we carried over.
  I feel very fortunate having been a part of this outstanding guild, not to mention being the GM for the past four and a half years. I wish Blades of Purgatory prosperity for another four and a half years.
