The pumpkins are out, the days are growing shorter and the nights longer.  What a perfect time to get dressed up and submit your entry in our Camelot Haunting Costume Contest!  Here are the details:

Rules

Using items in the game, assemble a Halloween costume for your character. Be creative: horses, props, pets, scenery, furniture can all be used. The one thing that isn’t permitted is image doctoring. Anything beyond cropping is a no-no, we want to see what you can do in game.  Create a unique costume by using items you find and put together. 

To submit, take a screenshot of your costume. Write a brief description of what your costume is, what items it incorporates as well as the names of the characters in the screenshots. 

While potions can be used, we are really looking for creativity using armor and weapons that exist in game. We’re not ruling out the idea that potions can be used creatively to make something interesting, but it’s sort of like the difference between a store-bought costume and one you make yourself. You’d have to do something pretty crazy to win a costume contest with a store-bought costume.

• The screenshot should only have one character in it.
• All submissions must have a PG rating.  Please keep it clean.
• Turn off character names.  (While in game, click Options, then deselect the type of names that apply.)
• No interface.  This includes chat windows, quick bars, etc.  (The default to toggle the interface is the "tab" key.  If that does not work for you, please look in /keyboard to determine what yours is set at.)
• Any player can submit a total of 3 solo costume designs.
  

Prizes

The lucky winners will be able to choose an in-game location anywhere in the old world or Shrouded Isles of their choice to haunt.  Once the location has been chosen, it will be haunted with mad (though insubstantial) ghosts. These spirits will appear for a short time after the contest’s conclusion, and may reappear during future Hallows eve celebrations.
 

How to Enter

Once you have your screenshot, send it to: daoc-contests@mythic.ea.com

Please include:  Your character name, realm/server, a brief description of what your costume is and a list of the items you are wearing.  Both setting and costume count, so make them good!

This is open to all active Dark Age of Camelot subscribers.  Entries must be received by midnight Eastern Time on Sunday October 28^th, 2007 to qualify.  Submit your entry today!
