The woodsmen believe that the creature means no harm and seems to be attracted to places of great battles with the ability to vanish from one location only to reappear at another¹. The scholars discovered a reference in an old scroll about similar creatures seen in other parts of the world, particularly from places far beyond the Silk Road. The reference mentions a benevolent guardian spirit that watches over the fields of battle, radiating an aura² that inspires mortals to greatness. While generally invisible to the mortal eye, these spirits can become visible at will. The scholars are baffled by the behavior, but they believe that this spirit wants to be seen.

- For all servers but Gaheris, fighting in the presence of the Spirit of Battle grants a 30%³ bonus to RPs and BPs.

- For players on Gaheris, fighting NPCs in the presence of the Spirit of Battle grants a 50% bonus to experience.
